One crazy summer: New digs, new comrades, awesome produce.

We kicked off summer with an office warming party to break in our new space in Old Oakland. We had a great turnout and it was fantastic to see familiar faces and meet some new ones. Yes, a 5-year-old won the iPad we raffled off, but what better investment in our future, right?

In other news, we've got some new comrades in the house.

A busy workload this summer also led to some key hires at Comrade. After we made things official with long-time contractor Sophie Henry, our new Director of User Experience hired IA Christine Elbo to build on the momentum of our strong user experience discipline. On the creative front, we also hired Senior Art Director Bryan Medway, industry newcomer Noah Glick as Copywriter, and Kirk Franklin, a full-time Senior Developer. Our coffee maker is really getting a workout.

Work aside, we've also enjoyed a bountiful season at the Farmer's Market, right outside our door on 9th Street. Sugarplums, heirloom tomatoes, free range roasted chicken, just to name a few. Rest assured, no Comrade went hungry this summer.
